SMOG OF THE SEA: Jack Johnson/Patagonia Film Premiere, Vancouver BC, June 2017
Presented in partnership with All at Once, Jack Johnson’s social action network, using art and film for environmental awareness. Smog of the Sea –a film created to raise awareness about plastic ocean pollution and to inspire conversations about how to reduce single-use plastics in the food industry.
Jasmine Cadenhead engaged the audience by creating a "community canvas”, guests were invited to get involved in the creation process. Each participant received a cup of plant-based resin to add to the canvas. With the guidance of artist (Jasmine Cadenhead), a complex circular oceanic painting took shape. The community canvas piece was auctioned to an Ocean Wise charity that evening.
